On 31st January 2026, the third semester B. Pharm students (2024 batch) undertook an educational industrial visit to Kerala State Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited (KSDP), Alappuzha. Ms. Anjusha and Ms. Saranya, faculties of NCHS were accompanied with them. The visit was organized as part of the academic curriculum to provide students with practical exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
During the visit, students were introduced to various sections of the plant including formulation, quality control, packaging, and quality assurance. The technical staff at KSDP provided insightful explanations on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), standard operating procedures, and safety protocols followed in the facility. Students also gained knowledge about the production of essential medicines and the role of KSDP in supporting public health initiatives in Kerala.
