The Department of Pharmacology, NCHS, organised an expert talk on “AI Trends in Pharmacology Research” on Saturday, 1st August 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the NCHS Seminar Hall. The resource person for the programme was Dr. Arundas H, MBBS, MD (Preventive & Social Medicine), Preventive and Lifestyle Medicine Physician, Public Health Leader and Medical Educator, Kochi, Kerala, India. The session focused on the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in pharmacology research, highlighting its potential applications in drug discovery, drug development, data analysis, prediction of drug interactions and personalised medicine. Dr. Arundas H also discussed the growing importance of AI-driven technologies in improving the efficiency and accuracy of research and healthcare practices. The expert talk provided the participants with valuable insights into the rapidly evolving field of AI and its relevance to pharmacology research. The session was informative and helped the students and faculty understand the opportunities and future scope of integrating AI with pharmacological research.
