Hands-On Workshop “Pharma AI Frontiers

The IQAC of NCHS organized a Hands-On Workshop titled “Pharma AI Frontiers: Exploring New Horizons in Teaching, Learning and Research” on 3rd January 2026. The workshop was led by Dr. Sharon Baisil, Associate Professor in Community Medicine, MOCS Medical College, Kolenchery, Cochin, and CEO of Kronotome Solutions OPC Pvt. Ltd., a startup focused on AI training. The session provided practical insights into the applications of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical education, pedagogy, and research. Faculty members from various colleges actively participated, making the workshop an enriching platform for interdisciplinary learning and academic collaboration.

They visited 100 houses in Meloor, Grama Panchayath as a part of the survey on 28th February for 100% OPV enforcement.

Industrial visit to SOUTHERN UNION PHARMACEUTICALS PVT LTD, Puzhampallam, Thrissur was organized on 10-12-2021 for 6th semester B. Pharm students. 52 students of the class were accompanied by faculty Mr. Varun Dev and Ms. Sajitha M S.

NCHS conducted a session in Professional ethics on 13th December 2021 at 3.00 pm in the seminar hall. The session was taken by Dr. Sutharson L., principal NCHS and covered the topics about the morals, values, and ethics of the profession.

Nirmala College of Health Science in association with FWC, Poolany, conducted a workshop on AIDS Awareness on 03.12.2021 from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm. Dr. L Sutharson, Principal, NCHS gave the welcome address, Mr. Manjesh (JHI), gave the Presidential Address. The workshop was officially inaugurated by Mrs. M S Sunitha, President, Meloor Grama Panchayat. The workshop was very effective in improving AIDS awareness among the student community. Mr. Vinod T G (Founder President, Love feast, Kerala) was the resource person.

The first-year B.pharm 2021 batch has been inducted to NCHS on 29/11/2021. Mr. E. A Joy, administrator, NCHS welcomed the gathering. The ceremony was inaugurated by the eminent personnel Mr. Koshy K Ancheril, Head, Human resources, Apollo Adlux Hospital.

Nirmala College of Health Science, Chalakudy conducted a self-defense workshop on 26th November 2021 at the college seminar hall for the Kudumbasree Unit of Meloor Grama Panchayat and female students of NCHS. The program was inaugurated by Ms. M S Sunitha, President Meloor Grama Panchayat. Rev. Sr. Arpitha CSN (Rani A K) from St.Jude Home Science Institute, Angamaly gave awareness on laws to protect women. It was followed by a practical session on self-defense by Mrs. Gigi V V and Mrs.Shajamol civil police officers, Thrissur rural women cell.

In the program Dr. Brijesh, associate professor and head cooperate relation Marian college, Kuttikanamand Mr. Krishan Raj S, master trainer of ICT Academy of Kerala, cooperate trainer Malayalam Manorama and IPSR solutions limited talked about soft-skill development, interview skills, mock interview, etc.

Industrial visit to CARE KERALAM, KINFRA PARK, Koratty was organized on 5-11-2021 for 7th-semester B.pharm students.

10 students of the second year D.PHARM participated in the camp and gave counseling to the people along with detection of BP, Blood sugar etc. The camp was useful for the public of kunnappilly.

Nirmala college of health science chalakudy in collaboration with FWC Poolani conducted a lifestyle disease detection clinic and awareness programme at kunnappilly ashan memorial library on 5th November 2021 from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm. Mr. Manjesh JHI welcomed the gathering. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Bibin Raj the ward member. Felicitating messages were given by Dr. L Sutharson principal NCHS and Dr. Jayesh V N vice-principal NCHS. Ms. Priya JPHN Extended vote of thanks.
