First year D Pharm students of Nirmala college of health science went to Vaidyaratnam Oushadhashala, Thrissur as part of field visit. Vaidyaratnam Oushadhashala is a renowned Ayurvedic pharmaceutical company based in Kerala. The visit provided valuable insights into the traditional practices of Ayurveda combined with modern manufacturing techniques. Students were taken through various sections of the facility, including raw material storage, processing units, quality control labs, and packaging departments. Experts at the facility explained the importance of selecting high-quality herbs and maintaining hygiene throughout the production process. The visit also included a tour of the Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Museum, showcasing the history and evolution of Ayurveda. This field trip enriched the students understanding of Ayurvedic medicine production and its relevance in today’s healthcare system. It was both educational and inspiring, highlighting the integration of tradition with modern scientific approaches.
