On 22nd November 2024, Nirmala College of Health Science conducted a rally at Chalakudy as a part of National Pharmacy Week. The event aimed to raise awareness about the role of pharmacy professionals in promoting public health. The rally, a major highlight of the day, saw active participation from students, faculty, and professionals from the pharmacy field. Mr. Saneesh Kumar Joseph, MLA Chalakudy, inaugurated the mega health care awareness rally. Participants marched through key areas of Chalakudy, spreading the message of safe medication practices, awareness about drug misuse, and the importance of health education.
The valedictory function, held later, honoured the participants of pharma explore and provided a platform for sharing insights about the evolving role of pharmacists in healthcare. Prof. Dr. John Joseph, Hon. Secretary, IPA Kerala Branch, Emeritus Professor, Lisie College of Pharmacy was the chief guest of the function who discussed the importance of continuous professional development, ethical practices, and collaboration with other healthcare providers.
