The NSS Unit and the Department of Pharmaceutics jointly organized an Awareness Program on “Monsoon Diseases & Their Prevention” on Tuesday, 26th May 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Ward No. 5, Meloor Grama Panchayat, the adopted village of the institution. The program aimed to create awareness among the local residents about common monsoon diseases such as dengue fever, malaria, leptospirosis, cholera, and viral fever, along with the preventive measures to control their spread. The session emphasized the importance of personal hygiene, proper sanitation, safe drinking water, mosquito control, and maintaining a clean environment during the monsoon season. Faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students actively participated in the awareness campaign. Informative talks were delivered to educate the public on early symptoms of monsoon-related illnesses and the need for timely medical attention. The participants also interacted with the residents and distributed awareness messages regarding preventive healthcare practices. The program was successful in spreading health awareness among the community and encouraged the villagers to adopt preventive measures for a healthy monsoon season.
