The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of NCHS conducted an Awareness Programme in connection with World Cancer Day 2026 on 4th February 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, at the Family Health Centre, Meloor. The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of timely treatment among the public. The event was based on the World Cancer Day theme “United by Unique,” which emphasizes people-centered cancer care and recognizes that every individual’s experience with cancer is unique. NSS volunteers actively participated in the programme by interacting with patients and visitors, distributing informational materials, and spreading awareness about common risk factors, symptoms, and preventive measures related to cancer. The awareness session was well received and contributed to promoting healthier lifestyle choices among the public.
